If you don't see your question listed here, give us a call and let one of our highly trained staff members at Ductless Doctors help you with an answer.

  • What is the warranty on a ductless system?

We offer a 10-year warranty on compressors and parts, as well as a 3-year labor warranty.

  • How does ductless really work?

When we heat our homes, we heat the whole house. When we use central AC, we cool our whole house. Ductless mini splits are a new lifestyle where you heat and cool the room or rooms you are currently using. Why cool and heat rooms/bedrooms you are not using?

  • How much money will I save?

Our customers tell us they are paying $300.00 to up to $800.00 per month for oil. (WOW!) In the winter, $150.00 to $300.00 per month for central AC.

These units, depending on the model, what you set the temperature at, and how often you’re using that room, can cost approximately $35.00 to $75.00 per month in electricity.

  • Why am I starting to see and hear more about mini split ductless systems now?

Everyone around the world has been using them for the past 30 years due to higher energy costs. A high energy cost in the United States is finally here.

  • How quiet is the outdoor unit?

It’s so quiet that you can’t hear it running. You can have a phone conversation or read a book on your deck without that annoying, loud central AC compressor and fan running all day and night.

  • How many units do I need?

Most of our customers do 1, 2, or 3 at a time and call us back every year to add another 1 or 2 more.

  • Do you have financing available?

Yes, through Synchrony Financial; starting at 0% financing for two years or a very low monthly payment until paid in full. No monthly interest if paid in full within 24 months, depending on your tier level.

  • What’s the best time of year for you to do the work?

Anytime. We work year-round every day, including most holidays, while most of our competitors are done at the end of the summer. 100% of our jobs are a ductless combination of heat and cool, not central AC.

  • Do you have cooling-only units?

Yes, we do. But it’s best to catch us early, like late February or March like most people do to have the work done so you don’t have to go on our 2-week waiting list.

  • How long do I have to wait to get my ductless system installed?

If you do it before or after the summer months, you don’t have to wait as long.

  • Will the insulated refrigeration lines and PVC line covers be Mitsubishi?

Yes, there are very few contractors from this area that spend the extra money to give you a better product. We found the materials to be much better. Ask our competitors if they follow the same practice, have it in writing, and check the labels on all the boxes when they arrive. If not, send them home. (Remember, you only get what you pay for).

  • How will it look when we are done?

It will be a Picasso. The unit will be leveled and bolted down to the pad, all the holes that will be drilled through the wall will be packed with insulation, and all the caulking will have a smooth finish and everything wiped down clean. We say this because we rarely see many Picasso out there. (Check out our photo gallery section).

  • Do I need to do my whole house?

No, you can do a room or rooms that you use most; or do a room that doesn’t get warm or cool enough to your needs.
